8.8 Update/Install FAIL constant retry (WG, get your sh*t together!)
Friend of mine had problems updating game to 0.8.8 and I didn't believe it, so I uninstalled game and tried to install it anew.
Installer always stuck and wants to redownload. Well, I let it fdo it few times, but obviously it keep redownloading the same broken package and there is no point in continuing it (my friend said he tried to do it 14 times - that's 14x5GB downloading! - before giving up). According to his logs the problem is always the same, and I can confirm it too: wot_88.3118_88.3117_client.patch package contains damaged file 36_fishing_bay.pkg
---
Here's the relevant entry from failed update log:
I have tried to get around it by reinstalling 0.8.7 and updating to 0.8.8 with wot_88.3118_87.2912_client.patch but it errors and fails on the same 36_fishing_bay.pkg file and wants to redownload again.
---
Quick search on forum shows that there are many other users having same problem installing it.
This isn't funny. WG, get your sh*t together and fix it!
---
Anyways, here are the offending file specs:
36_fishing_bay.pkg.88.3118.63F3DE2F - 43,704 bytes - dated 2013/09/05 07:36 (inside package wot_88.3118_87.2912_client.patch)
36_fishing_bay.pkg - 88,348,232 bytes - dated 2013/09/04 15:21 (inside wot_88.3118_88.3117_client.patch)
(edit: strange that the same file in 2 different update packages has different sizes and dates...)
---
Perhaps someone with working game could copy and share the 36_fishing_bay.pkg file from your .../World_of_Tanks/res/packages/ folder, so we could copy this file into the folder (assuming installer is smart enough not to overwrite newer existing file)? Because right now we can't install game in any way (neither by upgrading from 0.8.7 or by installing new from "full" download), it is ridiculous.

Also WTF is wrong with this forum lately, I make space between paragraphs and it is automatically removed and my post look like sh*t! (That's why I used "---" above)
