(SPOILER) Can someone explain the appeal of this game?
I just watched what I think are some finals in world of tanks on twitch.
They played for 100 minutes and it was 1-0-9. It was mostly just tanks sitting around. What is the appeal to this game? Is it expected that only 10% of battles will be won? Twitch chat was mostly complaining about how boring the games were.
Or maybe "gold league" isn't very good? I don't know.
edit: It just seems there should be some advantage to being aggressive and getting kills, even if the game ends as a draw. Better tanks next round or better ammo or some sort of upgrade -- think sort of like CS:GO. Even if you lose, you get extra money for a bomb plant or getting kills.
edit2: seems like when people that aren't the people I watched playing it there is a lot more action. Still, if that's the highest level which should be aspired to, then that doesn't scream out as a game I want to play :\ Imagine if CS:GO had draws.
edit3: After time expires, I want airstrikes! Every minute, each team can call in an airstrike to a position. And maybe after another 5 minutes, tanks start losing 10% base health / minute until a team wins. If the last tanks all die at the same time, then the players have to fight each other in an 80's style knife fight where they are bound together at the arm -- at least for LAN events. I'd watch the **** out of that!
