Nerve-wracking comeback results in victory!
Ruinberg started as it usually does, with the largest mass of tanks heading into town. Myself in an M8A1 and someone in a T-80 go to the village. Not 10 seconds later do I realize that 2 of our 4 artilley decided they were main tanks, and drove to the east-west road. They were promptly destroyed.
The T-80 and I took out 3 tanks between us, and then waited to see if anyone else was approaching. Turned out no one was. At about this time, I realize that our team is getting slaughtered. There were three of us left, while they had all 4 of their arty, and 4 tanks.
We lose our other compatriot, so now it's just the T-80 and I. I start to wonder if I shouldn't go for a cap to at least get a draw, since I knew the rest of the enemy was just leaving town. We spot 2 artillery. I take one out, but sadly my mystery partner in the T-80 buys the farm from the other. At this point, three enemy tanks begin capturing my base. I decide that I'd better do something about that. After avenging the T-80, I sprint off back to the village side. I manage to pick off a tank on cap. The other two foolishly decide to get out of cover and hunt down the lone M8A1. They were both destroyed.
It was at this point where I realized that there was only one enemy left: an SPG. While he ****** my driver and damaged my tracks, I blew him up and ended the battle.
It was pretty exhilarating. I just recently started the fast turretted american TD line, and after this match I think I'm fully sold on them.
