Got My 1st Tier 10 Medium
Hello again,
Well after getting many of the tier 10 heavies and a TD, I finally decided that make the push toward my 1st tier 10 medium. And judging the 9.3 patch notes, I got it at just the right time.
Originally, I wanted the 430 over the T-62A/Obj 140 because of its aesthetic qualities and its improved armor profile. I was willing to give up some gun performance to get these things. Also, I like driving those tanks that many people "overlook" as it adds a factor of being "original"/"special". Another benefit of playing "rare" tanks is that few people know how to fight them properly.
The pathway to get the 430 is pretty solid. I actually liked the A-44 despite the horrid gun handling, as the high pen and damage were worth it. The 416 was a bit frustrating as the armor was nonexistent and the camo isn't as good as expected. The Object 430 II is a good edition to the tier 9 mediums, having a amazing armor profile, fantastic DPM, and acceptable mobility. All in all, it was rather fun grinding my way up the 430 line.
Now while I would have been happy just having the 430 as it is, I have caught word that its DPM will be buffed (In 9.3) to the highest level of any tier 10 medium (Over 3k DPM). This comes as great news to see that WG is "taking care" of those tanks that aren't played as much. This is also good because there were a few nay sayers that tired to dissuade me (And many others from getting this machine) on the basis that it wasn't worth the grind. This buff also means that I don't have to give away any gun performance to get the improved armor profile.
So, any tips from 430 drivers out there? Thoughts and reactions to the upcoming buff in 9.3? Anyone planning on making their way to the 430 because of the news? Any thoughts on the tanks before the 430?
TL;DR I finally got my 1st tier 10 medium tank, the Object 430. It looks like I got this machine just in time, as its DPM will be buffed in the upcoming patch. I, mostly, enjoyed the tanks that were in its tree and am looking forward to playing the 430 (Especially after the buff to its DPM).
