Experienced clan members - Advice needed!
Hey guys.
So, I've been with my current clan for well over a year now, but we're dead in the water.
We're stuck with maybe 20 active out of some 80 players, and it feels like the core is just happy with the 20 actives... I'm not though. I want to be in a clan, to be part of a proper community, a team. I want to do CW and Strongholds and continue to drag myself towards uniscumland.
I recently attempted to help our main deputy (and the most dedicated commander) improve the situation by helping with Stronkhold FC'ing, I tried to drum up interest in the issues we had, tried to subtly prod the recruiters in to actually recruiting, but all it seems for naught.
We've lost a lot of our best players to top 10 clans or more "positive environments" and it feels like newer people are just orbiting this core of players, with many new recruits being "duds" who end up just clogging up the roster with the rather limp excuse "we need the chips" being used (when we never do CW any more).
Although they're all lovely guys and good friends, it seems few are interested in actually building the clan up... which leaves me at a bit of a loss. I don't particularly want to leave, but I don't want to end up stuck in a clan that's not giving me what I want and is causing me to stress.
There's a chance the clan could still be "resurrected" but I feel like it's too content with the status quo and people will just resist any attempt at change, although officially they're supposed to be enacting change.
So, should I stick it out? Or am I just repeating an oft-heard tale and should just jump ship? I'm not sure where I'd even go as I'm in sorta limbo, 1250 WN8 and one tier X med ain't gonna get me in to any of the main clans after all. I dunno, I kinda just want some external input.
Thanks! Soz for wall-of-shitpost, don't want to put this on the forums for fear of causing **** in the clan.
