Squads/in Company Platoons
Field Commanders, Deputy Commanders and Clan Leaders can, in the pre-game lobby, task specific players to them. A "Ranking Officer" which fills the existing role of Commander or "Caller" of the battle who's in game VOIP broadcasts auto attenuate so he can Talk clearly to his entire team when he needs to, and Field Commanders who will lead and direct any players tasked under him and while the RO can talk over Field Commanders and players, voice transmissions from players in the same squad take priority over everyone else on the team, with the FC of that squad able to talk over everyone in the same squad, though everyone on the team can still hear each-other so they can maintain cohesion when squads take losses.
There can only be ONE Ranking Officer per battle but there can be any number of Field Commanders, both of which can have squad sizes as big as they want.
The RO and FC can also choose a specific color to differentiate their Tank Icons (on scoreboard and above their tank), chat messages, and display command alerts so members of their squad can quickly acquire, process and execute orders accurately.
as well as giving ranks an actual point, these changes allow for some form of autonomy as players can act on their own initiative to more easily coordinate attacks and movement within their own groups so that the Commander doesn't have to micro manage every single person on the team and it also allows for these coordinated efforts to be pulled of more accurately and with greater precision than having one person manage everything on the map at once.
also a Minor change.
Tap Z while looking directly at a tank for a simple "Attention" (!) marker, hold it down to bring up the commo Rose as normal.
in CW the Rose is essentially completely useless as it is meant to be a substitute for lack of voice communication, but in CW everyone is using Voice communication, so having to deal with navigating the rose in the heat of combat and maneuvers when you simply need to mark a target for your teammates for them to know exactly what you're talking about when you say "that guy" is just an over-complication we don't need.
Just some helpful things that I drempt up.
