MM and winrates
HI
MM as it is today
MM puts you in the proper tier battle
MM than uses a calculation to keep win rates in check:
1: if you are winning too much-you you will get a team which has a lower chance of winning
2: if you are losing too much-you will get a team which has a better chance of winning
How do we know this..simply put xvm.
XVM tells you what your team chances of winning are to a certain extent. However keep 2 things in mind..
The more balanced the teams are the less accurate XVM is.
If your team has a 40% chance of winning-
Your team has a reasonable chance of winning. If your in the top 3 or 5 this is where you need to put your best effort in and make it count.
The more unbalanced teams are the more accurate XVM is.
If your team has a 20% chance of winning-your screwed and it really doesnt matter how well you play your going to lose this save the odd miracle win like a surprise cap.
If MM was properly set up where every battle is a 50%-50% chance of winning we would probably see more players with 80% win rates or more because of their skill level but we dont see it because MM is set up in such a way to prevent that from exactly happening. Sure a few will break through but there is a reason the NA server winrate average is 48%-52%..its working as planned. However thanks to XVM we already know MM is not set up AT ALL to make every batlle 50%-50%.
Most will find themselves in the server average of 48%-52%. If you find your self here your a good player in spite of all the odds thrown at you especially those who only play pub matches and in spite of what stat trolls say about win rates..
Just make it count when XVM tells you that your team has a 40%-80% chance of winning..the rest dont worry about it because sooner or later your losing streak will end and the system will put you back on a winning track..you just need to take the opportunity and make it count when you get it..
