Pershing: My impressions.
Pershing + Vert stabs + Snap shot + smooth ride + Vents= Firing on the move god, and practically no aim time at all once you've stopped.
Dear god I think I've just discovered my favorite tank in the game. I am in love.
Because this thing has ridiculous accuracy on the move, easily nailing shots at 100 meters away while moving from one point to the next. ALWAYS hitting its mark when you are circling. Consistently hitting things when you advance that other tanks wouldn't have a chance in hell at hitting. Then once you do stop, the aiming retical is already so small (if you have the above set up) that there practically isn't an aiming time, like using a freaking hellcat.
It has gun depression
It has a fairly strong turret (though don't count on it to bounce higher tier players all the time unless you know they're really stupid,).
It has massive tracks that can sometimes be used to sidescrape with (though last resort only).
It's traverse speed is supreme. While not having the best power to weight ratio and having a rather average top speed, it is exceptionally agile and an excellent dog fighter.
It also does decently at range with its .37 accuracy.
Also to note:
180 pen is sufficient.
APCR rounds come in at a rediculous 268 penetration.
Ammo capacity may as well be unlimited: 70.
Ammo is dirt cheap.
Things that are bad:
Hull armor is trash (though really, it's a medium. What did you expect?).
Top speed is rather lackluster for a tier eight medium.
Power to weight ratio is merely okay.
Rather large tank, basically a shortened T32.
Standard AP penetration is lackluster, but workable.
But in all honesty I think this tank is the definition of versatility, and I have NEVER driven a tank (well, WZ-132 maybe) with such amazing accuracy on the move, that was also combined with a strong turret and good gun depression, on a relatively mobile platform. You can take this tank nearly anywhere on a map and have it be effective so long as there is a bit of terrain to work with (not to great on city maps due to poor hull armor). Plus I seldom worry about tier ten games in it because of the amazing premium ammo (and yes I am a premium spamming scrub when I see tier ten heavy tanks, I carry 15-20 rounds).
This tank is marvelous. Highly under rated if I might say, and even a little overpowered.
You know... There is another tank that is quite similar at tier eight that I may have to check out now:
The centurion.
So yea. Not that I am saying anything good players don't know, just a little post for those who are on the T20 or don't have the thing pully pimped out yet. It is totally worth it.
