Species of campers, XVM, base captures, and other musings
Stuff I've noticed lately, which may or may not be the case for everyone:
We need a name for a particular type of camper. These are the ones that hold back solely to have their teammates take damage, die, and then clean up the low health enemy tanks. On one Prokhorvka encounter battle, I once saw no less than five teammates just sitting there on the islandwatching the capture clock click down while one other teammate and I were battling to reset the cap. If there is already a specific name for these very selfish players, please clue me in.
Anyone else notice that the team with the most heavies moreoften than not has the lowest XVM win percentage?
There has been a trend in my recent losses for an increasing number of base captures because my entire team advances too far up to recap. I am often driving a Matilda or Churchill, and often can't get back, although I did so in my Churchie yesterday and managed to reset with 3 seconds left:>
Finally, some of the forum content seem to be getting through to people. Examples:
I see far fewer clueless lemming rushes a the start of a match, especiallyon Malinovka at the start of matches there. That might be because I'm playing higher tiers, but it also seems to be the case in the few low tier matches I know play.
Since the long debates on taking the hill in Himmelsdorf encounter, far fewer people are taking the hill route. However, that applies to standard battles as well as encounter battles, which is not a good thing.
