Tomato Questions (~130 battles in)
I've had a bunch of questions that I thought I would put in one place instead of spamming various threads:
How much money do you spend on WoT in a month?
How much gold ammo do you buy? I just can't get over the notion of literally shooting money at someone, but I suppose that will change in time.
I get that most people in higher tier games use gold ammo. Are there any good high tier tank lines that I can still play competitively without buying gold ammo?
What tank destroyer line would you recommend and why? How well would it work if I don't want to buy gold ammo?
What medium tank line would you recommend and why? How well would it work if I don't want to buy gold ammo?
Per the recent advice of OtterTenn, I am presently grinding my way up to the T1H (still on M2 Medium), KV-1 (got the T-28 last night--yay) and Crusader. I understand that I want to get to these tiers and then "stop". I understand that I should elite the tanks (which means unlock all modules) and earn a whole bunch of money. Are these tanks I will always hold onto and use to generate money to pay for higher tier tanks and their ammo?
How do those tier V tanks compare to premium tanks that I could buy to generate money? Any good examples of premium tanks to purchase for money generation?
Are there any other tier tanks that you should hold onto, or can I get rid of my tier 6 and 7s, and only keep 8-10?
Presumably if I keep my Tier V tanks then higher tier tanks should get new crews?
I've tried posting "am a noob, will follow orders" in some pub games I've played, but mostly I just get "don't die" as a response, if any,, and at low tiers I'd be worried about the blind leading the blind. Is team coordination better at higher tiers? I'm happy to follow a more experience player around, or go where they tell me to go, but no one takes me up on my offer.
I've watched some videos on Youtube about where to aim on certain tanks. Generally, as a lower tier tank facing a higher tier tank head on, if their front is all red when I aim at them would I ever be able to penetrate their weakspots from the front, or is it not worth trying? What are the usual weakspots on the side and rear?
Which mods do you use and what do they do?
Thanks a lot! : )
Edit: if anyone is interested, I'd appreciate platooning with someone more experienced. I currently have tier II, III and IV tanks. My IGN is Tigerboat.
