Should their be a minimum/maximum game limit to play certain tiers?
I have nearly 3,500 battles now. I got rid of my last tier I tank probably 2700 battles ago, and got rid of my last tier II tank about 1,500 battles ago. Just the other day I decided not to buy the tier VII tank I was considering because my stats have dropped in my new tier VI tanks, so I figured I am not playing tier VII tanks til I steady-up my stats playing tier VI tanks. I was dead set on buying a new tank, and since I was slacking a little, I decided out of the blue to buy a Panzerjager I and play a few tier II games now and then, but not to abuse it. I'd say 95% of my game play is between tiers IV-VI.
I put a new-ish crew in my Panzerjager I, without any 6th sense. Their 1st skills are in the 40% range. I just played my 4th game in the Panzerjager I, at Province, and I set up behind bushes on our hill. Then a noob repeatedly rammed me, blocked my escape when I got hit, etc. We lost because nobody on our team ever left the hill on our side, and half the team had 0 damage. I was ****** 1/2 way through with 300 damage and 1 ****. That put me ranked #1, with over 130hp above the guy with the 2nd most damage on our team.
But when I looked at the enemy side, I see their top guy has 7 kills, but even more impressive was his 956 damage in a tier II Cruiser III. That is a LOT of damage for any tier II tank, especially one that does about 45 damage per shot! I decide to take a look at WOTlabs to see his stats, and I find out that this guy has almost 20,000 games! He was around 19,824. Most people playing with 20,000 games tend to currently be playing at tiers VIII-X, but this guy's average tier right now was about 4.7. I feel a little guilty playing a tier II tank, which is why I sold all my low tier tanks many months ago, and I only bought a tier III SU-76 because I didnt have the xp to grind the SU-85b I wanted.
Then on the opposite end of the spectrum we see guys with 1000 battles playing top tiers. Obviously they wont be of much help in tier IX and X battles. Should there be a mandatory number of battles you must play before you are allowed to jump up to higher tiers, and should there be a limit on how many games you can play at lower tiers? Maybe over 5,000 games you cant play below tier III, and less than 5,000 games you cant play above tier VII..... Something like that?
I propose this because you do see disincentives in certain games for replaying beginner levels, and locks on higher levels preventing you from even entering them til you reach a certain point in skill or gameplay.
